We are an old-fashioned family run business that came about from a love of sharing quality time with friends and family outdoors. Since our business was borne from family togetherness, we have encouraged our young children to also participate in the business as a great way of teaching them that work is good.

I always love playing the lottery, not to necessarily win, but to buy a $1 daydream. My wife and I used to enjoy conjuring up our dream home and share all the salacious details. One thing was certain, we always wanted a porch. When our family began to expand, we went house hunting for a more suitable home. We still have not won the lottery, but were lucky enough to find a charming home with an inspiring porch.

From the moment I walked up the path, the porch was like a pair of outstretched arms welcoming us in. As beautiful spring, summer and fall days lured us out to the porch, annoying flies and mosquitoes preyed upon our family. We used the mosquito sprays on the children, tried zappers, citronella candles and finally purchased the mosquito magnet. None of these seemed to be good solutions to our problem, so we looked to screening as a last resort.

My wife loved our time on the porch but was adamant that permanent screening would ruin the look of our home. I had to agree that paying thousands of dollars for a permanent eye sore was not very appealing! There had to be another solution – Mosquito Curtains!

Our Mosquito Curtain has turned our porch into our sanctuary where we can enjoy all the beautiful months outside dining, singing to dad's guitar, playing games, and telling tales. With a little inspiration, and lots of encouragement from friends we researched, tested, and started Mosquito Curtains Inc. in 2003, five years after making our first prototype.

As a family business, we teach our children that work is good. Everyone participates and works to fulfill the company promise, "Make customers happy, and then, make them a curtain they will love." We are proud of our work and will do everything possible to help make your outdoor space the envy of the neighborhood. Kindest regards,

Kurt
