When You Can't Reach High Enough To Snap |
A Nice Little Trick Our snaps are a hard action snap for the best possible hold under windy conditions. If the panel is not opened frequently, marine snaps all the way up the side binding are your best option. However, if you are snapping a side that gets opened frequently, you will soon get tired of using a step stool to reach that top snap 9ft high. Here's an idea.
Place only 3 marine snaps along the side binding where the curtain will attach to a wall or column. The top marine snap should be as high as the lady of the house can comfortably reach (about 6ft). Place the bottom snap low near the floor and place the third snap dead center between the two.

We have very powerful extra strength magnets that can be inset into the wood or masonry.
- Drill a shallow 5/8 inch hole into the post or wall
- Insert a tab of adhesive into the hole
- Insert our extra strength ring-shaped magnet into the drill hole slightly below the surface
- Wood putty over the magnet and paint if you like
- Use at least 2 of these magnet setups above the top marine snap spaced about 18" apart
- Insert block shaped magnets into side binding as described in sealing doorways.
- Block shaped magnets in side binding will adhere to ring-shaped magnets embedded in wall or column
