Black has nearly perfect visibility, especially when the light differential is brighter on the other side of the curtain. Black curtains on tracking have more of a formal elegant look and go with any color scheme. 80% of clients order black since it is
crystal clear and requires less cleaning.
White and Ivory are bright and cheery, inviting reflective light into your space. White is bright white and Ivory is the color of ivory stationary. Both Ivory and white curtains have a white perimeter binding. Ivory is ONLY offered in our heavy mosquito netting mesh. White is offered in all mesh types including no-see-um.
The light colors will show dirt more but because it has only about 15% of the density of a bed sheet it will not be as noticeable when the curtains are spread out. Want a better look at the Ivory hue?
The visibility through a White or Ivory curtain is about 80% in the shade and about 60% in the direct sunlight. About 20% of all orders are either White or Ivory. It is sort of a Key Largo movie, tea with a friend, arms around you feel.
Solution dyed Our black curtains ARE NOT surface dyed. Instead, our black netting is solution-dyed and UV treated before it is ever spun into thread so that it is coal black throughout the entire thread. Solution dying is BIG DEAL making our netting the most fade-proof material available in the marketplace. We even use Sunstop® marine grade thread for all stitching.
