Gabled or peaked panels are usually very symmetrical. Sometimes there is a level perpendicular beam that runs below the gabled triangle, and other times there is not. We have two ways to address gabled exposures. We can either have panels hang from peaked ceiling to floor, or we can have panels hang from the level header beam to the floor and address the gabled triangle separately.
The diagram below will help with both methods and outline the necessary measurements we will need to construct your curtains panels. Eventually, you will be required to phone in this type of order, but printing the worksheet below will save you a good bit of time.
| For the following example, assume the LEFT and RIGHT exposed sides measure 9-0 wide and are 100in. tall (level). The center exposed side is 18-6 wide and the peak is 142in. tall. In Diagram 2. we'll assume there is a level beam that is 100in. tall and the height of the gabled triangle is 36in to the top of the beam. |
