Height Adjustments
Tracking - Measure from Track mounting surface to floor with NO Adjustments If measured height is to the ½" then ROUND DOWN
Velcro - Exposed Height + 2" To overlap top by 1"
and floor by 1" If height is to the ½" then ROUND UP
Why Width Adjustments?
Curtains are designed for a relaxed fit - not drum tight and not sloppy loose. We have about a 1% variance in width measurements for a variety of reasons. Widths need to be a bit wider than your exposures for protective overlap at doorways and where curtains fasten to either a wall or support column.
Many clients are intuitively aware of this concept. If we were to automatically make the adjustments for you, we would risk over adjusting should our clever clients also adjust, so we spell out the adjustments here to be crystal clear.
These width adjustments are very good guidelines, however feel free to use your best judgment with these concepts in mind.
Designed for a relax fit with a bit of give to them.
You need a 1" overlap for a panel-to-panel doorway.
You need about 2" to seal the side binding to a wall or column
We could be off by 1" per 10ft of width. (has to do with the sewing process)
Why are Heights Different for Tracking vs Velcro?
Tracking is ceiling mounted to the underside of your exposed opening. You automatically get a 1" drop from the track rail itself that will give you a perfect 1" overlap with the floor. In fact, if you find that your measurement is actually to the 1/2" (for example a 104.5" height), you can round DOWN to 104".
Velcro is a side mounted attachment. The 2" adjustment is to give you a 1" attachment surface at the top + a 1" overlap with the floor.
